Twitter Reacts: Arsenal fans still feeling the gloom despite club-record Aubameyang transfer

You would have thought signing one of the most potent strikers in Europe in a club-record deal would be about as good as it can get for Arsenal fans on January Deadline Day.

But upon announcing the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund earlier today, that wasn’t necessarily the case with all Gunners followers. While the majority are understandably delighted with the news, some can only see the negatives.

What are the negatives in signing a striker who leaves his former club with 141 goals in 213 games, exactly? Well, some believe he’ll spend his Arsenal career floundering on the wing, others fear it means Arsene Wenger will be staying in the dugout for the foreseeable future and a few claim the north London club are still in need of a top-quality defender after conceding thrice to Swansea City last night.
