Milan's initial offer of €37m (£32m/$43m) was deemed insufficient by Brugge and, according to Matteo Moretto, the Italian club are planning to make a new offer that is closer to the asking price of €40m (£34m/$46m).

With the sales of Emerson Royal, Lorenzo Colombo and Ismael Bennacer nearing completion, Milan are set to raise funds for reinvestment. Talks with Brugge over Jashari have been ongoing for days, with the player pushing for the move by refusing to play in the Belgian Super Cup last week. Milan had explored alternatives like Bayer Leverkusen’s Granit Xhaka and Valencia’s Javi Guerra, but Jashari has always remained their top priority.
