West Ham fans unconcerned as Jack Wilshere looks set for Arsenal stay

According to reports in The Telegraph, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere looks set to fight for his Gunners future despite being a summer transfer target for London rivals West Ham United, according to The Sun.

The Telegraph says that the 25-year-old is keen to prove that he can still have a future at the Emirates despite the fact that he was loaned out to Bournemouth last season, and the fact that there are no signs that he is to be offered a new contract despite his current one expiring in less than a year’s time.

The report adds that Arsene Wenger is willing to listen to offers for the England international, with The Sun saying the Irons are his preferred destination if he is offloaded.

However, he is keen try and salvage his Arsenal career having recently returned to full training after recovering from the fractured leg he suffered during his spell with the Cherries.

West Ham supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and the majority are pleased that a deal for the injury-prone player is looking less likely.
